Just spent a month down in Atlanta where it's Soul Food EVERYWHERE! Amazing Taste holds it weight, it's the only spot in Jersey that I go to on a weekly basis. BOTH locations are GREAT!!
I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing and the prices are more then fair for the portions. The staff is beyond friendly and makes me feel like I'm a regular. I recommend the banana pudding and the Mac 'n cheese. Oh and the baked chicken. Maybe just get some of everything and see for yourself.
My husband and I decided to have soul food for dinner yesterday and he found Amazing Taste on Google. I like to read reviews but I rarely post them but I have to say Amazing Taste is by far one of the best places I’ve visited. I ordered a platter of whiting fish with a side of mac and cheese and candied yams. I was very impressed with how delicious everything was. I had no complaints at all. My husband had a platter of bbq chicken, seasoned french fries and mac and cheese. He thought everything was delicious too. They served us a great portion of each side. I was excited I had enough left over for lunch today. You cannot beat $12.50 for a delicious soul food meal and to be honest I would have paid $15 if I had to. It is about 30 minute ride from where we live (not too far) but no matter the distance it is 100% worth it. A very polite young man took our order and he turned out to be the son of the owner of the restaurant. I appreciated his humbling and grateful demeanor. I will definitely be visiting again. As for the negative reviews, I am glad I did not let them discourage me.
Great food, servuce, and location. Right on the weekly shopping route. Quick bite or gut filler, best choice. Awesome staff. Repeat business DUH!!!
South Bound Brook location is going down the tubes fast! Not sure if they're even open still, everytime I ride by they're closed! The same food they're cooking you can make wayyy better at your own home! Not impressed at all!
